Droid Case - droid x, case

This is a great case for this phone. I find that it doesn't stick in my pocket at all, and doesn't collect any pocket lint. I have an Invisishield screen protector, and I've taken the case off and on twice, and it's never messed with it, or pushed up the edges in any way. The only bad thing about this case are the volume rocker buttons and the camera button are hard to press as they are covered, and it is raised just a bit over them; this makes it slightly difficult to adjust the volume or take a picture. The picture problem I fixed with a free app called Camera 360 that lets you tap the screen to take a picture. I am thinking about getting an x-acto knife to cut out those buttons, but it hasn't become too cumbersome for me to get that drastic yet.

All in all, it's a great looking case, built well, and would recommend it to anyone. Gave it only 4 out of 5 stars because of the buttons inconvenience, but I wouldn't let that stop you from getting it. Amzer Luxe Argyle Skin Case for Motorola Droid X MB810 - Smoke grey

This case is nice in every way except for the volume, camera, and on/off button covers. The case makes using these buttons difficult. I even used a box cutter to remove the covering in these areas (case comes pre-lined in these areas, which made this procedure easier), but I would not recommend doing this. Case around the cut out areas still prevents easy access to the buttons, and you lose the soft feeling of the gel. Based on reviews at Amazon, the Qmadix Gel case Qmadix Gel for Motorola MB810 Droid X Flex (Black) appears not to have the button issue, so I've ordered one and will follow up with a comparison.

* Update on Qmadix Gel case:

Qmadix case works much better! Volume, on/off, and camera buttons work with a light touch as they would without a case. Qmadix case is identical to Amzer Luxe in every other way. It's just a thinner case that happens to cost twice as much. Pay double for less material, go figure. But it works, so in my opinion is worth the extra $8 or so.

I think this maybe the best case I have ever purchased for a smartphone. I have had many various smartphones and this case fits like a glove. It's not bulky. Easy to put on and easy off. There is only 1 negative. The case covers the camera side button as well as the volume button. Most likely for protection. I'm goin to take a razor blade and cut those spaces open. Other than that I love it. I would recommend to anyone who wants to show off there phone and wants protection without the bulkyness. Smooth feel with good grib as well. Also if you are looking for a side clip this case is not for you.

I purchased mine for under $10 here at Amazon. The skin is nice, and the design is subtle, and not overbearing at all. It fits very well, but still allows for easy removal of the device as necessary. The texture is more plastic than silicone, but still pleasing. The skin adds a bit of bulk to the phone, which is not necessarily a bad thing as the X is very thin to begin with.

Power, volume and camera buttons are covered, but accessible with a raised location for each button. I have no issues using the power and volume buttons with the case, but the camera button press is a bit hard. An on screen shutter button is coming with the Froyo 2.2 OTA update coming this summer, so may eventually be a non-issue anyway.

This case is easy to snap on and very sturdy. It is actually pretty thin and doesn't get in the way, but is still thick and sturdy enough that I know the phone is protected. It makes the buttons a bit hard to press, although I read from other reviews that they soften up with time and wear. The only issue I've found with this case is the earphone jack. I CANNOT use the headphone jack when the case is on, and this is a HUGE issue for me. I'm going to use a razerblade to try and widen the hole for the headphone jack. (This also may very well just be for my headphones, maybe it does work with most but it certainly isn't working for me). I still don't regret my purchase, this is one of the best cases available for this model at this point.

I was very hesitant about buying this case as I have bought many cases in the past only to be disappointed but I am really glad I bought this one. It really does fit the phone perfectly but thats not my favorite part of the case. My favorite part is the fact that it is a combination of a hard and soft case and its not like those annoying silicon or rubber cases where it inverts your pant pocket every time you take it out. it is grippy enough so it wont fall out of your hand when you are holding it but still smooth enough that you can easily take it out of your pocket. love it!

I ordered this for the Droid X, I like the argyle look and thought it would be a cool cover for the phone. I put it on and it fits like a glove. I dont think it makes the phone too big and bulky at all. The holes in the cover line up perfectly with the phone. The on/off, volume and camera buttons are covered by the cover but you can still use them with a little more effort. It looks exactly as pictured on Amazon. I would recommend this product. - Argyle - Amzer - Droid X - Case'
