Ipod Microphone - ipod touch, ipod microphone

If you need an external mic for your I Touch, this one is great. It is very small and the sound is great. You do not need the extra app. it said in the add. Just use the mic app that came with the 2nd. gen. I Touch. Black Mini Microphone for iPhone 3G 3GS iPod touch 1st 2nd 3rd Gen classic Video

I just got my mini mic and my Chill Pill Rapcap in the mail today.

I bought both for my iPod Class 120gig for recording lectures. I didnt want to get one at a time to compare so I just bought both. My mini mic cost me $.34 and just under $4 shipping and rapcap was $14.50 and free shipping.

I compared both for sound quality and distance at which they pick up sound. Turns out the only difference is the rapcap is white plastic spray painted pretty while the mini mic is either white or black plastic. Also the Rapcap is about .5mm smaller in diameter but same size in length. The caps construction is identical. Both work identical. Everything is the same. The only thing to test is durability but I'm confident it will be the same.

So save the money and buy this one over the RapCap. They pick up sound great from a distance if you have it about 10 feet away from an instructor so just plug it in and stand it up near the instructors desk or sit near where he or she talks and youll be fine. I have a flip open case so I can plug mine in and stand it up so ill pick up sound great.

Only complaint I have is that I bought the Rapcap too.

I bought this for my son and his Ipod Touch and it works great.

For ipod touch user though it is important to know that with the mic in, you can't hear sound during playback. So we record and then pop the mic out to listen. This has not been a problem but for someone who wants to play and listen without removing the mic then you will need to by a set up that includes a mic and earphones or some other set up.

Seller services was fast and product was exactly as advertised.

I didn't find much, if any, benefit on the iPhone over the built-in microphone. I see it as a valuable addition to an audio-capable iPod, but nothing to run out to buy for an iPhone. Still, at such a low price it wasn't a mistake to buy and I still may find that the mic is easier to direct than the ones built into the system.

I bought this microphone very hesitantly because of conflicting reviews about it working (or not working) with the iPod Touch 3rd generation. I figured for what it cost, it was worth a shot. I am happy to say that it does work with the 3G iPod and you don't need to download an app for it to work. Just use the "Voice Memos" app already on the iPod. I used it for the first time in class yesterday. I was sitting about 10-15 feet from the instructor and could barely hear him on the recording. So, if you are going to use it to record a lecture, put your iPod on the instructor's desk. Otherwise, it is a good microphone for what it cost. - Ipod Microphone - Ipod Touch - Cheap - Affordable'
