4th Generation - incipio, ipod

Was looking for an inexpensive case until more cases were available for the iPod Touch 4th generation and this one seemed to fit the bill. Will help protect from scratches but not much protection if dropped. The area near the home button is a little then so is therefore flimsy. Hopefully OtterBox will come up with a quality case soon! Incipio dermaSHOT Case for iPod touch 4G (Black)

Pros:

Fits good, Looks good

Cons:

After a few hours of use, lint, small article, dust are everywhere on the case. I mean EVERYWHERE whether you put it on the table, in your pocket, wherever......It's just a "lint magnet".

The only way to remove these is wash it with water and soap and I don't want to do this everyday for sure.

I will throw it away the moment a have the time to buy a different one.

Nice color, using it for two weeks, fits perfect and much better grip to avoid iTouch device slip. Also rubber is not thin like other case but still will fit in my ipod touch alarm clock dock without any issues. Includes protective clear screen film which is a plus.

The cover fits like a custom-made glove. The volume and power controls are easily useable while being covered and protected. The only backdraw is the color. For being bright purple it looks more fushia - even to all who have seen it since receiving. VERY good product for someone who wants a "soft" cover rather than a hardshell.

Good: I like the feel of the case. It's easier to grip than the naked iPod is, but it doesn't add extra bulk.

Bad: The case is too loose, so dust and lint easily gets inside the case. I have had my iPod in this case since I bought it, but I still have scratches on the back of my iPod from debris getting inside. Also, the bottom of the case, near the home button, feels very flimsy.

I specifically looked for a silicone or rubber case for my iPod since the plastic ones, though they might look good, tend to fracture and break pretty quickly. This case fit the bill, and is overall a good case with a few minor issues.

-It's a little difficult to press the sleep button at the top or the volume buttons at the side, since the iPod will tend to slide around within the case if you don't grip the entire thing tightly.

-The color isn't much of a goldenrod at all. Goldenrod usually has more of an orange tinge to it, but I would've been fine if it looked like the muted yellow as shown in the pictures. In reality, the case is colored more like dishwashing gloves.

The Good:

It's very easy to remove and put on.

It has a comfortable feel

Price is pretty reasonable.

The not so good:

It's somewhat loose fitting

The case makes the power button hard to press

The rubber tends to attract dust and lint

Overall its a pretty decent case that I plan to use until Switcheasy creates a new case for the 4G.

This was for my first Apple touch device. While I have seen my share, I have never used one or handled one, so I therefore was unfamiliar with how the covers that are available fit and feel.

This sleeve does have a nice feel.

It is, however, somewhat looser than I would have expected. My iPod slips a little in the sleeve. Powering it off, by the button on the top, is a little challenging because the iPod slips and the sleeve bunches just a little.

As noted by a previous reviewer, the area of the sleeve around the data port, speaker, and jack is rather flimsy and catches on thing easily.

For a twenty dollar sleeve, opposed the the thirty-plus dollar ones, I suppose it is OK, but it seem more like a ten dollar item to me.

Personally, I will be looking for something else for the long term. - 4th Generation - Ipod - Apple - Incipio'
