I purchased 2 iPod "covers" and 1 Mac computer "cover". Total cost? $75+ dollars. What did I get? Printed contact paper!!! I looked on the website to see if these items could be returned, but they have that problem covered - - - these are "special orders" and cannot be returned. I'm not sure what's so special about printing an image on a piece of contact paper . . . I can't believe that I spent that much money on such a sham. The pictures on the paper are really nice, but if I knew what I was getting I'd expect to pay about $5.00 per item (which would still give SkinIt a good profit!) Skinit Kindle Skin (Fits Latest Generation, 6" Display Kindle), Alice in Wonderland "Cheshire Cat Grin"
I have purchased many "SKINZ" before which were a protective rubber cover. The description of this item is Skin! Protective skin! BS! This is a crappy sticker! I have always held Amazon in a high regard! This is a RIP OFF!
Shame on Amazon!
when I ordered this "skin" I was expecting a protective skin for the kindle that is not what this is.........It is a STICKER a $25.00 sticker!!! This is very misleading and I am soooooo very not happy about this.......very very dissapointed in Amazon!!!!!!
DecalGirl Kindle Skin (Fits 6" Display, Latest Generation Kindle) Moon Tree (Matte Finish)
I am SO disappointed with this product! This is not a gel-skin like I expected to protect my Kindle. This is very much like that sticky shelf paper I used to buy years ago. Nothing more than a decoration. Provides NO Protection. This product doesn't even rate half of a star. OVERPRICED junk is what this is. I could have purchased 2 eBooks instead of wasting my dollars on this crappy stuff.
I should have read the discription and more on the reviews. I bought this for my wife's kindle and was thinking it was a rubber cover but it is just a plastic 3M sticker. The discription, which you have to scroll down to read, does say it is just for decorative purposes and I should have made sure I read that first but I was to involved with getting something that my wife would like for her kindle. The cost for this is very expensive and I would not have purchased it, but I guess I have learned a lesson and will not be making the same mistake in the future
I got this for the wife's kindle and from the other comments I wasn't expecting much. It would have been nice if the product matched the picture but I knew it dude from other complaints. It's just a sticker. It will protect the device from scratches that happen in daily use. It's not a bumper case by any means. Just something to change the look of the Kindle to make it a bit more interesting. Every time the wife pulls it out the thing becomes a conversation piece so all in all I'm satisfied. I didn't expect a ton of protection, just a bit of personalization.
Even though its just a crappy sticker that has no protective values i went for it to enhance the kindle apperance. When i opened it there is no front picture in the top left, the front is just black! Also for a $25 sticker you would think it would have smooth edges and fits the cures of the device but no, offers nothing.
The back skin with the eyes and grin are just as in the picture, however the front skin is not good.
It's missing the little 'Alice' labeled key in the upper left (it's plain black all over) but worse it was cut-out with such poor quality that it proved impossible to remove the skin without the 'keyboard' parts coming with it. When trying (very carefully) to remove them they were so attached that the black coloring was damaged.
Result: Now I have a half covered kindle, not what I was going for...
I found the ease of applying the skin to be great. Overall I am happy with the product. I was little disappointed that alice in wonderland was not on the front, but now that I have had it for a while I think it might have been a distraction anyway. I am happy with the product. - Kindle 3 - Overpriced - Not Recommended - 3g'
