Amazon rates this as a 102 piece kit. THEY ARE LYING!!!!! I went to the Hoppes web site they call it a 32 piece kit. I thought that Hoppes made up a special kit for them so I ordered one. Much to my suprise it came as a 32 piece kit. The Hoppes box also said no chemicals included. The picture on Amazon showed chemicals & a mat. I got neither. I guess someone at Amazon needs to learn how to count. I got 32 pieces not 102 as advertised by Amazon. So much for them being a reputable company!!!! Hoppe's Deluxe Gun Cleaning Accessory Kit
Its quite a fine gun cleaning kit..It just is incomplete. All you are reciving from this kit, is just whatever is included in the little "case" . You dont get the matt or the solvents. Why they would use a stock picture with everything in it is beyond me..Its misleading advertising. I understand that all the way in the bottom of the ad it states "Solvents and pad not included in picture.", but I didn't feel I needed to read the entire description from start to finish..I probably should have, but how many of us do..Thats probably why it is written all the way at the bottom, and not at the top or middle. Its not a huge problem, but I would have rather just ordered a different kit that comes with solvents..I had to make a trip to a gun store "which is quite a drive because there aren't any in Chicago due to local laws", just to have a complete kit.
The kit is a good one and I'm happy I bought it. I was surprised (should have read the description better) that no cleaning solvent, gun oil, or cleaning patches were included. I'm guessing it has something to do with shipping hazardous materials or something. In any case, I'll have to go buy those things locally. The storage case is attractive and seems reasonably well constructed and designed. Worth the money, in my opinion.
I ordered the Hoppes Deluxe Universal Gun Cleaning Kit for my father for Christmas. I just placed the order on Monday 11/15/10 and the expectant delivery date was for 11/19/10 through 11/22/10. I was out for most of the day and came home to find the package waiting on the porch for me; a full two days before the expectant delivery date. I opened it up and was very pleased with the product.
