Works fine, range is good, but buttons are much to easy to push when bumped or jostled in pants pockets. Whenever I try to carry this remote, I find my electric gate opening and closing accidentally. Might work better to use one the left or right buttons, rathern than the middle button as your primary control. Works great. Range is better than expected. I like having it on my key chain rather than in the car for security reasons. Downside is that I have accidentally opened the garage door while in the house and not realized it until I go to the garage the next morning. I'm using the center button only I thinking about trimming the button so it is flush or slightly recessed. With all that said... I do have a lot of crap in my pockets.

This remote is an ideal way to get in the house without carrying a bunch of keys, whether out bicycling with the family or on my daily commute by motorcycle.



It fits easily in a weatherproof zippered pocket. The center button is large enough to be easily felt in the pocket, even while wearing gloves, and the range is enough to allow me to open the garage door while first pulling into the driveway. The other buttons can be programmed for a second garage door or for the opener's lights, something that is handy when they automatically turn off before I'm finished suiting up in the morning or before I finish peeling off a wet riding suit in the evening.



This is the second one I've had (only because I moved); it's exactly right for riders. Be sure to use it in a waterproof pocket or put it in a ziploc bag.

This is a great remote. I had the fancy illuminated remote until my brother-in-law lost it. I replaced it with this smaller, easier to carry remote. I bought two of these and it took about 15 seconds to program both, VERY easy to do. I programed another button to turn the garage lights on/off, also VERY easy to do. This key-chain model is perfect for me as I commute on a motorcycle and it easily fits in my pocket. For $14.99 each, you'd be hard pressed to find a better solution.

This is a good remote, small and light. howver, as another reviewer mentioned, it is easily activated in the pocket once it gets bumped around. I have noticed a few times when my garage door opened when it was either in the process of being put into my jean pocket, or when it is being bumped around in my jeans

they should consider making the button more difficult to press

This is a great little keychain remote for your garage door. With my detached garage, I love that I can open up the garage door with this keychain remote. However, there have been a few mornings when I went out to my garage and found the door was already open. Apparently sometime during the evening, the button must have been activated while my keys were in my pocket.

I'm using this with a chamberlain garage door opener and it functions perfectly. It's easy to train for use with my opener. For my Chamberlain I just had to open the light cover on the right side of my open; there you'll find a purple button. Once you push the button you get a small yellow blinking light. You have about 10 seconds to push the button you want to program to open your door. The opener clicks and lets you know your done. At that point your done. Very easy. This is my second one.

Are there "better" sharpeners on the market? Probubly. But as an all around sharpener (I have several styles by several different manufacturers) this little gem is hands down THE BEST! Otherwise I would not have spent a week tracking this one down on the internet after all my local suppliers were "out of stock" or had moved on to more expensive less useful models. The thing folds up and goes in my pocket, it also has a handy hole for a lanyard which my new one is on. It does a great job on my chefs knives, my hunting knife and my serrated kives as well. It's easy for my big fingers to hold on to and steady on the edge of the counter when I am sharpening. I bought an extra one to put away in case this one gets "lost" or I give mine away to a friend. (In case you can't tell I really like it and would buy another one in a minute flat!)

This is a great sharpener it makes knives super sharp but not quite razor sharp it is much better than Smith's Abrasives 2 Step Knife Sharpener, that sharpener gets knives just as sharp as it has the same angles to the ceramic part of the sharpener; but that uses rods which get loose and end up rolling as you draw your knife through it and don't sharpen your knife. Also this is easier to get a blade into the ceramic sharpening part. This also includes a serrated knife sharpener, and this works well but i can't say much for it as it is the first serrated knife sharpener i have ever used.



i recommend pulling the blade through the carbide part 10 times using semi heavy to medium force, the using the ceramic part about 10 times using medium force then lighting up to about as light as you can get by the 10th stroke

skip the carbide part if your knife is already adequately sharp, only use the carbide part if your knife i dull or damaged as it takes off a lot of steel

I have been sharpening my own knives for years using the Gatco system. Normally I wouldn't trust my knives to anything but me and my Gatco. However, I do tend to spend a lot of time out in the woods and having a portable knife sharpener is an important part of my gear.



I was initially very hesitant to try this style of sharpener since the sharpening angle is fixed and not determined by me. Having now used the Smith's sharpener on several of my hunting and camping knives, I am recommending it to all my friends and have even purchased one for my hunting partner.



Great product, and I would buy it even at twice the price.

Good sharpener but with caveats.



Positives: small size, carbide cutters are very effective at removing metal, ease of use (no special techniques)



Negatives: small contact point on the blade (see below, not very stable if much pressure is applied



Due to the small contact point with the blade, pressure is directed onto a very small portion of the blade. This pressure will vary as you slide the blade through the sharpener (either as a result of nicks in the blade or human error/ inability to maintain perfect pressure). As a result you will end up with a slightly wavy edge to knife. Over time this waviness will likely be exaggerated.



I would say this sharpener is okay for a "quick and dirty" field sharpening of a camping or pocket knife, but I would not use it on fine blade steel or good kitchen knives.

Bought this sharpener on a whim while at a local sporting goods store. I badly dulled one of my favorite pocket knives from over use. Impatiently, I tore open the package in my car and went to work. I figured that if the sharpener was bogus, I could just walk right back into the store and return it.



WOW!!! Was I surprised. This thing is amazing! A few passes through the carbide blades followed by a few through the ceramic and I was sold. Brand new, my knife was NEVER this sharp - and it only took a few seconds.



It's compact, light weight, amazingly effective and idiot proof. If you're thinking about getting one of these, don't even hesitate - just buy it.



Still can't believe that this thing is only $10. Best money I've ever spent.

Smith's PP1 Pocket Pal Multi-Functional Knife Sharpener is a worthwhile knife sharpener that is easy to use, compact, very affordable and perfect for field use when a quick sharpening is needed.



The Carbides provide a quick edge setting for knives that are very dull or chipped. The ceramic stones provide a razor sharp finished edge on either standard or serrated edges. The carbide and ceramic stones are replaceable. A fold out, tapered round, diamond coated rod is designed for sharpening serrated as well as standard edges. The Pocket Pal Multi-Functional Knife Sharpener is lightweight, durable, and comes with a lanyard hole. It is small enough to put in your pocket if necessary or in an E.D.C. bag.



I tested this sharpener on numerous knives such as a Spyderco, Ka-Bar Tactical, Leatherman, Air Force Survival knife and multiple Swiss Army Knives. I was very pleased how effective and efficient this sharpener worked. The tapered round, diamond coated rod was very easy to use on serrations. The only problem I encountered with this sharpener is that it does not seem to work as well with thicker blades. It does work but it is a little more difficult and the carbides seem to wear the blade down a bit more which is why I give it 4 stars instead of 5. I would not use this sharpener with a very high quality or expensive knife. I would say this sharpener is perfect for those times when a fast field sharpening of a camping or pocket knife is required.



Overall, I highly recommend this product and I will be purchasing another as a backup.'

I've been using a Rio Cali for about 6 or 7 years for running, and it was indestructible. The only thing that stopped it was lack of support for a 64-bit operating system. That and the fact that it had all of 256MB (plus a 500MB SD card that brought the capacity to nearly a gig).



I did a ton of research, and I leaned toward Creative (I'm not an Apple fan). I have the older Creative Zen W 60 GB, but that's hard-drive-based and not good for exercise. And I'm not happy with the direction some of the newer flash-based Creative models have taken. I noticed this new Sony was getting good reviews, after mediocre reviews for some of its predecessors, so I checked it out and bought it.



This thing is very easy to use, and the screen is nice--perfect for viewing the album playing and title, but not SO nice that I'm afraid to scratch it while exercising. So far, I've been running a few times with it, and the battery indicator hasn't gone down at all. It puts out good sound, even with the included earbuds, which aren't bad (I like the Creative EP-630 In-Ear Noise-Isolating Headphones at work). At first I thought the sound was muddy, but then I had the sound settings on fake surround "studio," along with an equalizer set to pop. Since I listen to bands like REM and Radiohead, I didn't think of using the equalizer setting "heavy." When I took off the fake surround and set the equalizer to heavy, everything suddenly popped. I was listening to REM's New Adventures in Hi Fi (heavy on the guitars) and Vampire Weekend's Contra. Both sounded superb. Vocals and guitars were clear, and there was just enough bass to fill out but not overpower the sound. The Creative headphones add an extra level of bass, if you're looking for that.



For the price, you can't beat it. And it syncs FAST. I had 8GB loaded in no time--which brings me to one of only 2 complaints. I really wish they made a 16GB version. I didn't want the Sony S-series with its speakers, so I went with this model. Because it's for exercise, I can fill it with stuff that I'm likely to listen to while running and leave off the 6-CD classical collections, so I'm good. It's just that 16GB would give a little breathing room. The only other complaint is the volume buttons. It's kind of hard to feel exactly where the up vs down are, since they're almost flush with the player and give no tactile feedback. Oh, and if you don't put it on "hold," I've found it's VERY easy to accidentally turn back on.



It's easy to find what you want, even during exercise (by artist, genre, album, whatever), and the "tempo" feature is a great idea to help mix things up. I probably won't ever use the video features on this (with its 2" screen), but it's perfect for displaying functions and the currently playing album. The button position and overall user experience is great--you just pick it up and know what things are for. There's an on/off button, a back button, and a "wheel" in the middle that's a combination of pause, play, forward, reverse, and a way to navigate functions. Not the cutting edge in a user interface, but I'll take excellent sound, long battery life, and easy integration with Windows Media and other programs any day.

I really enjoy my Sony. It is small and user friendly. The cost of the product makes it a fantastic value. The drag and drop features make transfering music and videos a breeze! My son had to have an IPOD. He paid twice the money and did not get the FM turner. I use mine daily at the gym. and find it allows me to enjoy the workout with the music of my choice.

This is an awesome mp3 player! It is easy to operate. The sound is truly amazing. It sounds very rich. Sony lives up to its name. The screen is crystal clear and shows beautiful, crisp pictures. I would suggest this mp3 player to any one. You will love it.

Got this as an early Christmas present to replace my 4 GB Creative Zen Mozaic (another great MP3 player BTW!) and I LOVE it! It's very easy to use and loads super fast as some other reviewers have said. A good thing about it, too, is that the installation software is actually INSIDE the player, so all you have to do is plug it in and open up the folder, rather than insert a disk (my hard drive is a vertical disc loader, so inserting a tiny CD would have been near impossible!). I didn't even use the installation software, just dragged and dropped via Windows Media Player, and I haven't noticed any difference...although if you want to be able to create playlists or use the SensMe feature, I think you'd need to have the software installed...Loading movies was the same way - copy your DVDs, convert them to .mp4 and just drag and drop!



I actually got the 16 GB one of this model and I'm so glad I did. Already, I have over 500 songs, 13 audiobooks, AND 4 FULL movies on it! PLUS, I still have over 6GB left ^_^ I would highly recommend that you get it even if you don't think you'd need that much space.

This is by far the single best source for healing back pain that I have seen. I hurt my lower back pretty badly doing heavy deadlifts after too long of a layoff (entirely my fault, I know), and pursued a wide variety of different treatment methods. I had previously been exposed to other postural/ alignment methodologies in an attempt to get rid of chronic injuries, which had been helpful, but nothing was as poignant, simple, or direct as Gokhale's work.



There are three outstanding aspects of this book:



1. Gokhale clearly identifies what ideal posture and alignment looks like, and backs this up with numerous photos.

2. Gokhale's method is very, very simple, and once learned, becomes integrated into your everyday life. I know of other methods where you have to spend 30-45 minutes per day doing exercises - this method requires very little extra bandwidth once you have learned it.

3. The book itself is beautifully laid out, with a balance between illustrative photos and explanations.



Considering the amount of time and money I've spent pursuing other treatment methods, this is a ridiculously good value. Don't discount it just because it is so inexpensive! I bought a copy for my parents, and two extra books as I constantly have them loaned out. If you are seeking to get rid of chronic pain, this is my #1 go-to recommendation. 8 Steps to a Pain-Free Back: Natural Posture Solutions for Pain in the Back, Neck, Shoulder, Hip, Knee, and Foot (Remember When It Didn't Hurt)

This book has been very helpful to me, not just for the back, but also for my hip, knee, and feet. This is a beautifully illustrated and designed book, with very clear directions and explanations, using many diagrams, photographs, and visualization techniques to move the body as a whole, integrated unit.Included are sections on sitting, standing, walking and sleeping. There are also sections on helpful exercises and stretches, and troubleshooting guides with each chapter.

The sections on hinge-bending and the anteverted pelvis were especially helpful. You can watch a 53 min. talk by the author on youtube by looking up her name. Another good book on this subject is one by Stuart McGill, but it is much more scientific and doesn't address walking, sleeping, feet and knees. Esther's book is much more user-friendly with the same science and more anthropology to back up her method.

This book offers a natural, simple solution to chronic back pain. No special machines or contraptions or surgeries are required. Instead it teaches healthy posture. Esther Gohkale studied posture in countries such as India, Burkina Faso, and Portugal, where people have very back-demanding life styles, but suffer very little back injury or pain. Her book offers an anthropological study, with color photographs of beautiful, healthy backs from around the world, in ancient and modern times. She offers clear, simple instructions to help anyone achieve healthy, pain-free posture.



I've tried chiropractors, massage, physical therapy, yoga, and Pilates for my chronic back pain, and each helps to a degree, but none eliminated the painful "bungee" cord running between my shoulder blade and spine. Gokhale's methods of "stretch sitting" and "stretch lying" have provided me the most lasting relief of anything I've tried, and they are the simplest techniques of all!



This book is well worth the investment--it's only a fraction of the cost of a massage or chiropractic visit, and it's provides fascinating reading and vital healing. Best of all, it extends hope that anyone can free themselves from chronic pain, no matter how cramped or stooped you've become.

Esther Gokhale's book "8 Steps to a Pain Free Back" is a marvel.. At first glance it appears to be just another self help book on how to relieve common back pain. Upon reading it however, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that this is the most comprehensive and helpful book I have yet come across. Gokhale's technique which is grounded in sound anthropological study; as she explains, our back problems are largely the result of our cultural habits. Apparently, only five to ten percent of people in certain other countries suffer from back pain, yet in American that number jumps to almost ninety percent. Why such a difference? Ms. Gokhale explains that poor habits and incorrect training are to blame; and her technique for proper posture goes way beyond conventional American teachings. A victim of debilitating back pain and surgery herself, Ms. Gokhale both understands the pain many of us are going through, and genuinely wants to help.

Her book is wonderfully illustrated with the most specific "how to" techniques I have encountered. She not only guides the reader through not only what to do and what you should be feeling, but also explains symptoms of overdoing any given technique. She identifies specific muscles that need to be engaged for stability and strength in support of the discs. The book explains safe techniques for sitting, lying, bending, lifting and walking, activities we do all day long. She shows us how to preserve our knees and protect our hips as we age. As a person who has been doing yoga and seeing chiropractors for years in an attempt to overcome my own back injuries, I can safely say that this book has been incredibly effective in allowing me to resume a normal, pain free lifestyle. Once you begin integrating Ms. Gokhale's methods into your life you will be hooked and find yourself making corrections to your positioning all day long. I highly recommend this book; it will create great habits that will last a lifetime.

I read this book in conjunction with a class given by the author, and all I can say is Wow!!!!



The author has studied posture and movement in cultures that do not have the high level of back pain we have in our culture, and come up with a simple method of improving posture. The information is presented persuasively and is broken down into simple principles. The book is clearly (and beautifully) illustrated.



But the amazing part is that the principles work. The difference for my low back pain, and neck pain, and foot pain is remarkable. Now I can sit at a computer all day and have my back feel GOOD at the end of the day! I wish someone had taught me these principles when I was five. I went with this toner cartridge based on the great reviews. However, maybe it was just a unique incident, but the toner cartridge I received did not have a solid working drum. It could print out a solid black page fine, but normal text came out uneven. And yes, I shook the toner cartridge plenty of times to spread the toner. The toner looks to be fine. I ended up having to transfer the toner back to the original HP cartridge and I'm back in action. I did not contact customer support since I could not afford to be without a working printer for more than a day. HP Compatible Q2612A (HP 12A) Laser Toner Cartridge

I bought this cartridge in November 2008. It's now July 2009. I'm a very heavy printer; I have already surpassed the advertised 2,000 pages as I have done more than 5 reams of 500pg printing paper to date.



What I have noticed is that this cartridge prints dark, but appears to print with the same intensity as you would get with the HP cartridge set on economy mode. This is fine; I used to set my HP on economy mode anyway since it used to spit toner on normal mode. But if you set this on economy mode and print you get a very light print, almost looking like scratches on the paper.



What I love is that I have not gotten the annoying light black vertical line that appears on the left or right of the paper when the cartridge ages. By this time my original HP cartridges begin to print this line, and that's when I know it's time to change over. Also my printer has very little toner residue inside since I put this baby in. Highly recommended.

fast shipping. received in very good condition. package looks even better than HP originial one. Wasn't print well on the first few pages then realized that should to shake cartidge a couple times to mix the carbon powder inside. After that it works great. worth of money. highly recommend it.

Toner cartridge works fine, print quality might be slightly less black than OEM cartridge but for the difference in price, it's not worth worrying about. Communication on shipment (ability to track)wasn't good, but package arrived in the shipping window forecast. There were no installation instructions, so removing the tape and and strip that keeps toner from leaking is something you have to have known.'

I have this NBOX TV Player for about 5 months, it works very well. It's not the best flash media player, but it's a lot cheaper than other brands which are all around $100-$200. I believe this one has the best value for that price.



NBOX is very easy to use, just put video files into SD card, USB flash drive or USB external hard drive. I personally used a 16GB SD card to carry my kid's cartoon, and use a 750GB Seagate External HDD to carry the movie or tv series for my wife and myself. The remote is very easy to use, and my little 6 years girl could use it by herself, no more bothering me.



Pros:

1. Support a lot of file formats: AVI, DIVX, XVID, RM, RMVB, MPEG, it even supports subtitles

2. We like that remote controller, it's one of the biggest advantage than hooking up my laptop/pc to the TV.

3. Auto Resume from last stop point. When I stopped watching a movie in the middle, I just hit power button on the remote to turn NBOX off. Later, when I power on NBOX, it would automatically resume the movie from the last stop point.

4. Continuous Play on Multiple Files. Sometime I watch TV series with 20 episodes, NBOX could smoothly play one episode then play the next one. I guess it uses the file name to sort the order.

5. With the component cable (included), I can get 720p HD output quality on my LCD HDTV from NBOX.

6. Price. It has the best price, almost the same as a regular DVD player. I can't find a cheaper one which could do so many good things.



Cons:

1. It doesn't support MKV and MP4, which is a pity. But 95% of my files are in other formats, and I don't want to pay $100 to buy other media player for just 5% usage.

2. The red power light is always on as it's designed for indicating the power cord connection to the wall jack. I wish it would be off if I turned off NBOX.



Overall, I am very satisfied with NBOX. It has very good value for such low price, and it's very easy to use. I am hoping to see new models with advanced chipset which could support more formats in such low price in future. NBOX Digital Media Player

For the price, this is a no-brainer.



Here's what the device is not:

1) It is not an HD Device. No 1080p video here

2) It does not support every file format under the sun

3) It is not a couple hundred dollars



Here is what the device is:

1) This device plays DVD-quality video

2) It plays the most common formats for downloaded TV shows and DVD-Rips, namely Divx & Xvid. I have also found that occasionally it will play an MP4 file, but it makes no such claims.

3) It is very inexpensive



Here's who should not buy the device:

1) People with collections comprising largely of BluRay rips

2) People who need network-support to retrieve from a server

3) People who want to spend a lot of money



Here's who should (at least consider to) buy his device:

1) People with DVD-Rips or downloaded TV shows on their harddrive that they would like to play on their TV (like me!)

2) People who sometimes connect their laptop to their TV to watch video but dislike the lack of a remote control (like me!)

3) People that would like to buy an expensive Media Player but don't have $100-200 (like me!)



Let's face it, there are a lot of devices that do this, to varying degrees of success. When you make a purchase like this, there are a few things to consider:

1) Will it play the videos I have?

2) Does the navigation suck? (Some devices have issues with forced previews that make loading video painfully slow)

3) Will it break my budget?



For me, this device plays everything I have to watch. The navigation is quite nice, it has a preview of video, but on a slight pause so that it doesn't scroll file to file slowly & I could afford it. A couple days after getting it, I recommended it personally to about a dozen people including co-workers without reservation. For what it is, it works exceptionally well. I see no discernible difference between this device plugged in via composite and my netbook playing the exact same video files on my 32" 720p TV. I am not connected to it in any way except as a very happy owner of one. Highly Recommend.
